SUMMER RECREATION OPPORTUNITY

GUIDE (ROG) SHEETS

From the menu below please select a Summer Recreation activity that you would like to see the ROG sheets for.  Once you go to that page you will find choices for different skill levels for that activity.  For example, in HIKING you will find Easy, Moderate and More Difficult trails.  Each of these categories has a separate page with links to the ROG sheets.  Click on the route you want and you will be taken to that ROG sheet.

The Dillon Ranger District is home to an exciting variety of Summer Sports recreation opportunities!  During the summer there are over 200 miles of HIKING TRAILS, 150 miles of MOUNTAIN BIKING TRAILS, along with 100 miles of OHV ROUTES.  Visitors can ride or hike up to the Continental Divide and check out the best views in the Rocky Mountains!

There is 1 group campground and 12 regular campgrounds in the District providing 400 campsites for use from late spring to early fall.

If you see a particular Summer Recreation trail that interests you, click on the trail name and you will be taken the ROG sheet for that trail.  The trail links contain the same Recreation Opportunity Guide (ROG) sheets that you can get at the Dillon Ranger District office.  The front side of the ROG sheet contains trail information such as: trail difficulty, length, directions on how to get to the trailhead, interesting information on the trail and any important information that trail users might need to know.  The back side of the ROG sheet contains a custom topographic map highlighting the trail route along with an elevation profile.

Have a great time!
