Davis Springs Campground

CLOSED TO ALL CAMPING

Located on the southwest shore of Green Mountain Reservoir, the Davis Springs Campground has been converted to free day use for fishing access. Area has vault toilets.  The Davis Springs Campground sits at an elevation of 7,954 feet.  There is parking to accommodate cars and provides good foot access for fishing.  


GREEN MOUNTAIN RESERVOIR/CATARACT LAKE RECREATION MANAGEMENT PLAN 

Since 1943, recreational development on and around Green Mountain Reservoir and Cataract Lake has evolved with limited long range planning.  Some plans have been drafted, but never implemented.  The management to date has been generally satisfactory, however, increased use, conflicts among user groups, conflicts among recreation uses, lack of consistent funding, and resource impacts indicate that a long-range plan is needed.  Click on the photo of Green Mountain Reservoir below to view the new Recreation Management Plan.
